What to expect:

At Siena Bel Canto, we are committed to giving young singers the chance to perform. While it's important to study music in an educational context, there is simply no substitute for practical performance experience. That's why we expect you to be well prepared when you arrive in Italy, so that we can get you out of the classroom and onto the stage as soon as possible. Our team of coaches will help you improve your performance skills as you present recitals, solo and together with other singers and sing in front of a live audience.

As you acquire valuable performance experience, you will also be gaining proficiency in the Italian language. Many shorter programs aim to teach Italian in just two weeks, but research shows that it takes several weeks of intensive study to achieve basic fluency in a foreign language. Because our courses last four weeks, you will have the opportunity to attain a solid foundation in Italian before you leave Italy. Our system of partial immersion (several hours of language instruction each day) will help you to absorb the language naturally and apply your new skills immediately.
